What is a Collapsed Anchor?

A Collapsed Anchor is a technique used to neutralise minor or unwanted negative states by firing a positive resource anchor and the negative anchor simultaneously, allowing them to integrate and cancel each other out.

The process:

  1. Build rapport and set the frame
  2. Choose a positive resource state and associate fully into it
  3. Anchor the positive resource state — stack the anchor as many times as necessary to make it strong
  4. Test the anchor to confirm it fires the resource state reliably
  5. Anchor the negative state once only
  6. Fire both anchors together and wait until integration is complete
  7. Lift off the negative anchor and hold the positive for a further 5 seconds
  8. Test — the negative state should be neutralised or significantly reduced
